Free Printable Mazes for Kids

Draw a line from the red start dot to the blue goal dot. The paths are wide and simple, made for little hands holding a crayon or pencil for the first time. Every maze comes with an answer sheet.

The Japanese on the sheet

スタート and ゴール come from the English words “start” and “goal.” Japanese writes borrowed words in katakana. Point to them on the sheet and say them together.

At the top of every sheet there are three small boxes. They are just for writing the date and name — you can leave them empty.

How to play

1. Find the red dotThat’s the start. Put a finger on it first.
2. Trace with a fingerFollow the path to the blue dot before using a pencil. Dead ends are part of the fun.
3. Draw the lineNow draw it. If the line wobbles or goes over the edge, that’s fine.

Printing tips

• The PDFs are A4 size (the standard paper in Japan). On US Letter paper, choose “Fit to page” (or “Scale to fit”) in the print window so nothing gets cut off.
